Watched all of "The Fellowship of the Ring" yesterday. Gosh, it's still very pretty. But I must get new head-phones, or at least cushions for the ones I have, except the salesmen only look affronted when I ask if they have any and say they've never heard of replacement KOSS head-phone cushions plz to go away nao. Pff, salesppl...
It's still snowy here, still all set for Mr Claws. Too snowy to go out to look at railroad cuts, I wouldn't be able to see anything and the pictures would be all *blank* *white* *blur*
Anyway, back to Tolkien. Has anyone heard of this? Worth attending? Anyone going to Eastercon, btw? I'm going, I just need a) hotel and b) flights. So no worries then! |

| [ | Current Mood |
| | uncomfortable | ] | Have attempted to do the splits far too many times this evening. With hindsight, wearing boots with smooth soles wasn't my most inspired move ever. I do however have a fantastic sense of balance, so the worst of it is having slightly achy thighs from the sudden center-of-mass alterations was making in the interests of not landing on my bum (well padded as it is!).
This is pretty much me all in. Have done nearly everything I wanted to and can catch up a bit after I surface again.
My GP visit went pretty well though, despite me nearly being; a) Asleep, b) Late, c) Desperately needing to go to pieces. She seems quite happy with my concept of management as opposed to cure, at least in the short term. She also told me not to worry about Prof. Blackwood - because he's retiring. We're also in rebellion against his meds change in the short-term. I'm sticking to 150mg of amitriptyline at least into the New Year. Mainly because I am so down when I'm not actively engaged in useful stuff.
Got home tonight and everythings hit me all at once again. A time-managed crash, but a crash nonetheless. Have retired to bed with the mogs to have a cry into my pilow. The mogs are great. Just there, not intruding or demanding. It's nice to have company like that.

| One last update before bed |
[Dec. 21st, 2009|10:10 pm] |
Current plan is: 1)Go to sleep now (10pm). 2)Wake up at 4:30 3)Taxi at 5:15 4)Check in at 6 5)Take off at 7 6)Sleeeeep on the plane.
Looking back the way, Julie couldn't sleep until 3am on Thursday because of an upset stomach over something she ate. Friday we had Soulwaxmas. Saturday the bloody hotel was hosting a party 4 floors beneath us until 1am and the bass reached all the way up to us until 1am. Sunday we got to bed late and then had to go to the doctor's for Julie before 9am. I think the last night I slept _well_ was last Monday.
I'm really looking forward to getting to Devon and just falling over... |

| Anyone want a train ticket Haymarket-Leuchars on the 23rd? |

My boyfriend wasn't paying attention when we had the 'what are you doing at Christmas?' conversation, so I bought a train ticket, and now he tells me he can drive us both there! It seems a shame for it not to be used, so if anyone wants it, you can have it. It's for any time on the 23rd. |

Ok, who was it that discovered that I _love_ getting up at 4:30am so I can get a taxi at 5:00 to the airport, so I can be on a 7:00 flight?
Because whoever it was thoughtfully arranged to get my flight to see my parents tonight cancelled. And the 7:10 tomorrow morning was the best replacement Hugh could get.
Bah!
Humbug! |
