Upcoming
I'll be in Dundee until the 29th when I'll be heading west for Pressure, then back through to Edinburgh on the 30th. NYE party the next day, where ever Leila is going. Possibly spending a few more days there although L is working during the day so shall have to find amusements. Poooossibly Absolute on the Friday the 5th; would be nice to finally see it in the main room at Studio 24 and it's free entry before 11:30, although will have to see about that one.

I made a right hash of getting down south more this year, and I've no illusions of getting everywhere I'd like to in the next, but I'll see what I can do.

Âme's Rej has been voted release of 2006 in the latest Mixmag. This track has been so hyped in it's scene that Âme made their recent mix album look like this. I have a suspicion it'll be the One More Tune though.

i've been wanting to catch them for a while now although kept missing the chance. apparently holden, another one of those fuck,-i've-got-to-see-this-guy-live peeps is off the lineup, only to be replaced by derrick "i fucking helped invent techno" may. should be A Night.

i'm not aware of who Silicone Soul is, although they're on soma so i'm sure they'll be around again at some point. i was really pissed off myself when i realised that that weird name i remember seeing on those hooge ads infront of The Rooms was the same [one and only] Erol Alkan, but as far as i'm aware Slam are DJing on boxing day which is no use for either of us. but yeah, don't try guilt trip me bitch; people have done that before and that's why i always post what i'm going to these days, but i cannot be responsible for you missing out ;) for the reading rooms and flash flash, i'd recommend you start using that myspace account more as they post all of their events on their calendars.

a ken, i was only joking about you guilt tripping as well (hence the "bitch" ;). not yet, gonna try and find the time while i'm at my parents. i think my sister might like it as well. she seems to have a lot of interest in dance music since she has moved to glasgow. i'm getting her the freeland fabriclive cd which i'm hoping she'll enjoy.

I saw Josh Wink in Glasgow in the mid-90's and he was really, really good. I doubt I'd go see him again though as the rest of the acts sucked and it's not really my style of music. However, you like more housey, mellow stuff than me so you'll probably love it. Gah....I really hate proggy house stuff, it just reminds me of a certain wine bar called Peppers in the early 90's - but that's a story for another time young man!

i've heard good stuff about wink but have no idea what to expect on the night, shall report back afterwards though. i don't mind most styles of dance music, but i go get bored rather quickly and my immediate tastes cycle around, but i'll try to remember and ask you about peppers at some point ;)
